Sleepless

Nights have become so sleepless
I don’t even know what sleep is
Anymore... It’s getting harder to remember
My dreams Anymore...
Heart is heavy I can feel it sinking
I think I’m always overthinking
Falling into a heavy day dream
Without the peace of sleeping It feels like forever before I do fall
And when I do, it don’t be for long
I hear the crickets chirp their songs
The moon shines her light
Through my windows Casting shadows on my walls And as the wind blows I watch the shadows dance along
Because these nights have become
So sleepless I don’t even know what sleep is
Anymore... It’s getting harder to remember
My dreams Anymore...
Watch the clock go from one
To two... To three... Then four... Close my eyes Trying to rest my body And my soul Maybe I won’t be so sleepless
For long Watch the sky break the dawn
Eyes tired Tears drop with a yawn Nights have become so sleepless
I don’t even know what sleep is
Anymore... It’s getting harder to remember
My dreams Anymore...
( S h h h ... ) Stop thinking Close my eyes Stop being so sleepless With the overthinking So I can finally get some sleep in
Because these nights have become
So sleepless I don’t even know what sleep is
Anymore... It’s getting harder to remember
My dreams Anymore...
