Blue Jays

Today—I saw a pair of Blue Jays
So beautiful and blue They looked like they were in love
I saw them playing too
Oh, pretty Blue Jays How I wish I could be free Like you...
I would fly far away from here
With the wind beneath my wings
Pretty and blue I wish I could be like you
And I saw you in a pair
Playing with your lover blue
You two seemed so at peace
As you flapped your wings I think I even heard you sing
To each other
Oh, pretty Blue Jays How I wish I could be free
Like you... In this world so cold You don’t seem to even worry Do you? But—I know you do
You look so gracious You barely show us your faces
You only show yourself At rare times But whenever I see you I admire your pretty blues
Sapphire diamonds in the sky
Oh, how I love watching you fly
How I wish I could be free Like you...
Today—I saw a pair of Blue Jays
So beautiful and blue They looked like they were in love
I saw them playing too
Oh, pretty Blue Jays..
